August and September

Downtown Disney

Saturday, we went to Downtown Disney for the afternoon. Emma had so much fun going through all of the Disney toys. I am afraid we are going to have a serious shopper on our hands. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, and Emma said "Oh no" about a thousand times. She thought somebody was going to be in big trouble for bringing all of those plants inside.

Emma's Big Girl Bed!

Friday night, we put together Emma's new toddler bed. She took right to it, and started climbing in and out. She has done very well the last two nights. The first morning, she was sitting on the floor beside the door waiting for us to come in and get her. Here are some pictures of Emma and the new big girl bed:

My Growing Girl

These pictures of Em playing in the backyard were taken last Wednesday. There were Cheerios in the back of the car; which is why she hung around long enough for some photos. Emma loves playing in the backyard, and she asks us several times a day by saying, "outside, outside, outside." A few other words she can say now are: Emma, mama, daddy, auntie, baby, pop (for popcorn), cup, and several others. She knows the names and sounds of cats, dogs, birds, and monkeys. Today, for the first time, she put both of her puzzles together without any help. Emma's favorite thing to do is still reading. Whether flipping through the pages on her own and mumbling nonsense, or having us read them to her, she loves books. One of my favorite things to do is watch Emma play with her baby doll. She pushes her in the stroller, feeds her, and kisses and hugs her all the time. It is so sweet to see how loving she is.

Pictures From March

Emma's First Cruise

We had a great time on our cruise. Emma loved seeing the wonderful shows, and she absolutely adored Mickey Mouse. Her favorite toy for the cruise had to be the refrigerator in our room; she had the best time hiding things in it. We went on Em's first bike ride on Castaway Cay. Another fun event for Emma was the Playhouse Disney dance party. It took her a little time to warm up to the idea of it, but by the end of the party she was in the middle of the floor dancing and clapping along with the cruise staff.
