Disney Trip October 17th

Larry, Emma, and I had a wonderful time at Disney this past weekend. God blessed us with amazing weather; we even had to bundle up in the evenings. Emma Kate's favorite things were: getting to see the Little Einsteins and Rocket, getting to pick out her Mickey ha-moon (which is how she says balloon), and seeing the parade and fireworks show on Saturday night. She commentated the whole fireworks show from daddy's shoulders saying things like "yeah, dad, we did it" and "look, mom, clouds at Cinderella's castle." She called the fireworks clouds no matter how many times we corrected her. It was so nice to be able to enjoy this special trip with Emma before her baby sister Lola arrives.

Downtown Disney

Saturday, we went to Downtown Disney for the afternoon. Emma had so much fun going through all of the Disney toys. I am afraid we are going to have a serious shopper on our hands. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, and Emma said "Oh no" about a thousand times. She thought somebody was going to be in big trouble for bringing all of those plants inside.

Emma's Big Girl Bed!

Friday night, we put together Emma's new toddler bed. She took right to it, and started climbing in and out. She has done very well the last two nights. The first morning, she was sitting on the floor beside the door waiting for us to come in and get her. Here are some pictures of Emma and the new big girl bed:

My Growing Girl

These pictures of Em playing in the backyard were taken last Wednesday. There were Cheerios in the back of the car; which is why she hung around long enough for some photos. Emma loves playing in the backyard, and she asks us several times a day by saying, "outside, outside, outside." A few other words she can say now are: Emma, mama, daddy, auntie, baby, pop (for popcorn), cup, and several others. She knows the names and sounds of cats, dogs, birds, and monkeys. Today, for the first time, she put both of her puzzles together without any help. Emma's favorite thing to do is still reading. Whether flipping through the pages on her own and mumbling nonsense, or having us read them to her, she loves books. One of my favorite things to do is watch Emma play with her baby doll. She pushes her in the stroller, feeds her, and kisses and hugs her all the time. It is so sweet to see how loving she is.
