Emma's Camp Out

Larry took Emma on a camp out in our backyard last Friday.  She got the idea from stories in her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Curious George books, and has talked about going on a camp out ever since.  So daddy said he would take her.  She new the typical things that you are supposed to do on a camp out and was excited to try them all.  They started the evening by setting up the tent and having dinner beside the camp fire.  Then they went around the yard and collected sticks to keep the camp fire going.  Daddy even let her have chocolate and toasted marshmallows, which was a big treat.  Emma loved getting to explore the backyard with her flashlight and had a blast playing Candy Land over and over again.  They didn't make it out there the whole night, but Emma still talks about her camp out with daddy every day and can't wait to go again.

Lola in her "big" car seat

The infant carrier was getting to be too heavy for mommy to carry, so Lola has been moved to the big girls car seat.  She loves being able to see her sister and the dvd player so easily now.  Emma was excited because their car seats match.

Emma's 1st Day at OPS

Emma had her first day at play-school yesterday.  She had no problem leaving mommy to go into her class, which we expected.  She was so excited to start "school one day" as she calls it.  Her teachers are Mrs. Rachel and Mrs. Susan, and they said she had a great first day.  When I picked Emma up, she said it was so much fun and she was super excited to do it all over again the next day.
